A fundamental objective of Aquila's research has been to make a new synthetic product with the same acoustic properties as gut, but without its typical shortcomings - (high cost, limited duration and high instability in variable climates). The New Nylgut has just these qualities, allowing us to rediscover the tones familiar to the great Uke masters of the 19th and 20th centuries and guaranteeing a tuning stability superior to that of even the best gut and nylon strings.
