Supro Boost is a "clean" pre-amp ideally suited to push the front end of a tube amp. This J-FET based pedal design offers a noise-free gain boost of up to 20dB as well as optional high-pass or low-pass filtering to bypass your sound. Simple, direct and effective, the Supro Boost pedal stays clean and smooth at all settings, no matter how hard you push it with other pedals earlier in the chain. The Supro Boost also remains linear in frequency when the gain is adjusted, allowing the musician to set the desired boost level without sacrificing overall tone or forcing them to adjust their amp's EQ settings to compensate.
The Supro Boost pedal features a simple control layout with a single volume knob and an oversized toggle switch to select the overall BRIGHT, FLAT or DARK frequency response. The BRIGHT mode activates a 3db / octave high-pass filter. This setting is useful for fine-tuning humbucking guitars when adding boost to increase brightness and avoid mud. DARK mode activates a 3db / octave LP (low pass) filter. This parameter is useful for fattening up single-coil guitars when adding boost, to increase warmth and avoid harshness.
