Progressive metal players rejoice! The Pegasus humbucker offers the perfect blend of articulation and aggression with its Alnico V magnet and medium power wind.

The Pegasus was originally designed for extended range instruments. However, 6 string players immediately demanded that we come up with a version called their own. It incorporates a 5 bar alnico magnet and custom winding specifications. The goal was to provide a warm, balanced, responsive and lush sound for progressive metal. It’s a rich, harmonic mic with a prominent midrange and a focused low end. The high resonance peak creates a sparkling top end and incredible “bloom” on chords in high gain situations. The responsive and precise selective attack ensures that you’ll cut through any live mix and have tight tracking transients in a studio environment.

Because the Pegasus is a moderate output mic, it works equally well for clean or distorted sounds. Hand-built in our Santa Barbara, California factory, the Pegasus features a 5-bar alnico magnet, nickel-silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is coated with vacuum wax for squeak-free performance. Available in standard 6-string humbucker and trembucker, as well as for 7- and 8-string extended range guitars.
