Harkening back to the late '80s when Charvel guitars were manufactured exclusively in Japan, we introduce the all-new MJ Series - an exciting lineup of instruments attentively crafted in Japan.
Exquisite in style, the MJ Series blends Charvel's unparalleled legacy of designing high-performance instruments with an assortment of top-end features and stunning finishes. Classic Charvel hot-rod style gets a brooding makeover with the MJ San Dimas Style 1 HSS FR E in Satin Black with gold hardware. The alder bodyfeatures a sculpted shredder's cut heel that makes upper fret access seamless, while the bolt-on maple neck with graphite reinforcement and hand-rubbed oil finish offers sturdy stability and smooth playability. An ideal surface for heavy riffing or chordal work, the 12"-16" inch compound radius ebony fingerboard has rolled edges, 24 jumbo frets and white dot inlays. This powerhouse axe offers an HSS pickup configuration featuring a Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 humbucker in the bridge and Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 pickups in the middle and neck positions. The result is unmistakable upper midrange attack with a tight, articulate low end, and harmonically rich highs that sing. The MJ San Dimas Style 1 HSS FR E has additional premium appointments including a five-way blade switch, volume control, no-load tone control, Gotoh GE1996T Series double-locking tremolo, Gotoh diecast tuners and more.
