Rattlebox is the newest edition of the Logjam family and it is the brand new Rattlebox Cherry model which has a warm cherry wood.
It is a very versatile instrument. It can be used as a snare drum with a proper EQ or used more like a bass drum when the mids and highs are turned down and the bass is amplified.
It can be played with the hands, with the feet, or with sticks or brooms. When played with the hands, it is possible to obtain sounds similar to those of bongos or alternatively, cajons.
The Rattlebox features full-length strings under the lid that are responsible for its unique analog sound. It is not a digital sample player.
All our units are individually handcrafted in the UK. The Rattlebox takes much longer to make than our other units (and demand sometimes outstrips supply!) And is particularly popular, so we can't ship this item as quickly as our other stompers. Therefore, at the time of purchase, we say that your Rattlebox will ship within 7 days of ordering.
