This guitar is being sold as a restoration project. The soundboard has a crack and has come loose on part of the lower body. It will therefore require the intervention of a luthier to restore its playability and sound potential. This is a great opportunity for a luthier, a passionate DIY enthusiast, or a vintage guitar lover who wants to breathe new life into a quality instrument that is difficult to find on the market. Everything else is in perfect condition, see pictures.
The D-20 is a formidable acoustic guitar built with a solid mahogany top, back and sides. First introduced to the Guild lineup in 1968, this model features a rosewood bridge and fingerboard, bone nut and saddle, and an extremely light satin finish that allows this guitar to truly sing. The D-20’s modest appointments include a vintage-style rosette and the guild logo inlaid in mother-of-pearl on the headstock.
