Expressive Osmose MPE Polyphonic Synthesizer - 49 Keys

Expressive E, in collaboration with Haken Audio, launches Osmose, the new standard in musical expressivity. This stand-alone polyphonic synthesizer offers new ways of controlling sound with familiar gestures (press, modulate, shake, etc.). It features a deep sound design engine and hundreds of innovative, ready-to-use presets. It also functions as a powerful control unit for hardware and software synthesizers.

Expressive E has teamed up with Haken Audio to integrate its powerful EaganMatrix sound engine into Osmose. This modular engine combines many types of digital synthesis (including physical modeling, FM, etc.), making it a workflow-oriented device. Osmose comes with over 500 presets, each of which has been manually customized with effective macros that open up new areas of sonic exploration.

All the internal sounds in Osmose’s vast library are tailor-made to take advantage of its unique keyboard. Osmose’s incomparable sonic identity is a combination of highly detailed acoustic, electronic and hybrid sounds that will easily add nuance and variation to any musical genre. They have been carefully designed to react to the slightest movements of keyboardists, and use the three-dimensional sensitivity of the keys in a unique way to create effects such as scratched notes, vibrato, legato, layered dynamics and much more. As a result, discovering and controlling the sounds of Osmose is refreshingly fun!

As well as being a traditional MIDI control keyboard, Osmose can also interact with computers and other instruments as a MIDI MPE keyboard. It also offers support for polyphonic expression sensitivity, a multi-channel MIDI mode and a global pitch modulator. All these modifications can be made directly from the Osmose interface, without the need for a computer.
