To make the HT-5R MkII sound full and powerful even at the lowest volume levels, we designed a low-power push-pull power amp that produces the crunch and breakup characteristics of a traditional 100W output stage, but at a much lower volume. . This is achieved by using a 12BH7 dual triode valve in a push-pull configuration producing 5 watts of output power, rich in harmonics and valve compression.
The power reduction switch allows you to reduce power to 0.5 Watts without compromising tone: ideal for driving the valve stage at home or in the studio.
Our patented ISF circuitry gives you infinite adjustment on the tone control network characteristics and takes you from the US to the UK and beyond. Now you can effectively design your own tone and finally find "the sound in your head".
The HT-5R MkII also features a fully specified stereo and audio speaker emulated output, which allows you to easily record an amazing valve tone. It also features the unique 4x12 / 1x12 voice switch allowing you to change the tonal characteristics of the emulated signal between two types of emulated speakers. The emulated stereo speaker output can be used in conjunction with the internal speaker/expansion cabinet, allowing for headphone-free monitoring or the choice of mixing a microphone speaker and emulated signals for unparalleled ease of use when recording at home or in the studio. In addition, the speaker output can be disabled for practice or "silent" recording.
